The Iowa Ag Expo returns to the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines February 2-4, 2027, bringing thousands of agricultural professionals together for three days of equipment, technology, education and innovation.

Established in 1910, the Iowa Ag Expo has grown and evolved alongside American agriculture and today stands as the third largest indoor ag show in the United States. With nearly 560 booths spanning 7.25 acres across three buildings and six floors of the Iowa Events Center, the 2027 Iowa Ag Expo will showcase approximately 1,550 ag experts from 29 states and six Canadian provinces.

From major equipment and precision agriculture to robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous equipment, aerial imaging, livestock production, crop inputs and data management, exhibitors will showcase the products, services and technologies helping shape the future of agriculture.

Under its 2027 theme, “America’s Most Forward-Looking Ag Expo,” the Iowa Ag Expo brings together established industry leaders and emerging innovators to give producers a firsthand look at what’s available today—and what’s coming next.

“The Iowa Ag Expo has always evolved with agriculture,” said Cindy Feldman, Marketing Director for the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association. “Today, that means bringing producers face-to-face with the technologies, ideas and solutions that are changing how agriculture will be done tomorrow. From the equipment they depend on today to the innovations that may shape their operations in the future, the Iowa Ag Expo is where agriculture comes together to look forward.”

A Legacy of Looking Forward

The Iowa Ag Expo traces its roots to 1910, when it was known as the Iowa Power Farming Show. The inaugural show was held at the Des Moines Coliseum and featured 50 exhibitors.

Over the past century, the show has evolved alongside the agricultural industry. The event was temporarily halted during World War II before returning in 1952, and it continued to grow and change as agriculture became increasingly mechanized, automated and technology-driven.

In 2020, the show was renamed the Iowa Ag Expo to better reflect the evolution of agriculture and the broad range of products, services and technologies represented at the event. Today, the Expo goes far beyond traditional farm equipment, connecting producers with solutions across the entire agricultural industry.

That spirit of evolution continues in 2027.

From the early days of mechanized farming to artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous equipment, the Iowa Ag Expo has remained focused on one thing: helping agriculture move forward.
